The season of Advent is a time of preparation and anticipation. We prepare our lives to receive God: in the reality of the incarnation, in this present moment, and in the age to come. In our Advent series, we will explore how God comes into the lives of various people in the story, and we will prepare ourselves to encounter God in similar ways in our lives today. This week, Nicole helped us consider the role of Mary, and ask the important question, “What will we do when the story comes to us?

Kingdom Practices
This week, let’s continue to make space in our lives to simply be and recognize God is with us. You might use the song from this morning, contemplate the Annunciation (Luke 1:26-38), or simply create space for silence. Remember, whatever God is inviting you into, God is with you.
