Pastors Retreat 2017

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.  (Matt 11:28-30, MSG)

Many pastors, priests & worship leaders that we’ve been talking to over the last couple years have been dreaming and experimenting with new (old) ways of aligning historic Christian practices with the modern world. These men and women are tired, worn out, and burned out on religion…and exploring new (old) ways forward, with Christ, into unforced rhythms of Grace.

Last January, a group of us came together at Bellarmine Retreat House (Barrington, IL) for shared spiritual practice, connection, and space to learn from each other. It was a deeply moving experience, to say the least, and we’re thrilled to do it again.

On January 22-24, 2017, please join us for a two day retreat with Fr. Michael Sparough SJ, The Practice team, and an ecumenical group of women & men who lead spiritual formation in their church: pastors, priests, liturgists, worship leaders, discipleship pastors, etc. The first day will be a personal retreat: guided spiritual practices, worship, liturgy, and the gift of solitude. The second day will offer spaces for learning, sharing, connecting, and exploring practical ways to invite our churches into these unforced rhythms of Grace. Space is limited to 70 people, so please sign up soon. The cost is $299, which includes the retreat, meals, and lodging. (Everything except travel!)
