Life of Love
In the second movement of the Spiritual Exercises, Ignatius invites us into an intimate journey through the life of Jesus. As we accompany him from his incarnation and birth through his public ministry, we pray for the grace to grow in a deep felt knowledge of him in order to love him more freely and follow him more closely.
“As we enter into Christ’s experience, he enters into our own. We become the people in the Gospel as we imagine him healing the sick, casting out demons, and feeding and forgiving people. Jesus heals us, feeds us, forgives us, sets us free and calls us to follow” (Gerald Fagin in Putting on the Heart of Christ).
Simply put, Jesus embodied a life of love and calls us to do the same.

Most of us don’t need more information; we need to learn how to put what we already know into practice.
