The Practice is an experimental gathering where we immerse ourselves in God’s dream for humanity, practice the historic disciplines that align us with His dream, and carry each other along the way. We are learning to live out Jesus’ teachings in the world.
Join us, Sundays at 6pm in Willow Creek Chapel.
Our Current Journey: Rooted in Love
For centuries, the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola have been widely practiced for formation in Christlikeness. It is an invitation to a profoundly personal encounter with Jesus, fostering a deeper relationship with him and the freedom to join his work in the world.
This fall we will begin a journey inspired by the Exercises. The journey starts with an understanding of God’s unconditional love and the inadequacy of our response to God’s love. When we embrace God’s love and mercy, we are free to love and forgive as we have been loved and forgiven.
We seek to be…
Through the scriptures, story, and worship, we want to join Jesus in healing and redeeming this world.
More of a spiritual gymnasium than classroom. The focus is on the practices and disciplines that form us into Christlikeness.
Our desire is to be relentlessly committed to humbly learning from other Christian traditions and practices.
Every gathering will culminate with communion to weekly anchor us in Christ’s death, resurrection, and promise of return.
